The only island on Lake Como, the Comacina island is part of the town of Ossuccio.
A long legacy of King Albert I of Belgium, was ceded to the Italian State that after years left this territory to the Acaademia delle Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, the current owner.
Well-preserved buildings are the Baroque church of San Giovanni and the famous Inn on the island.
It is said that the island is cursed, and that anyone who steps attracts the same curse which leads to a violent death. The only way to avoid the evile eye? Participate in the famous healing and purifing coffee ritual.
for this ritual is tradition that a "virgin" woman get choosed to taste the coffe, and of course I did!!!

Un tempo eredità del re Alberto I del Belgio, venne ceduta allo stato italiano ch a sua volta la cedette all'Acaademia delle Belle Arti di Brera di Milano, attuale proprietario.
Edifici ancora intatti sono solamente la chiesa barocca di San Giovanni e la famosa Locanda dell'Isola.
Si narra che l'isola sia maleddetta e che chiunque vi passi attiri la stessa maledizione che porta ad una morte violenta. L'unico modo per evitare il funesto presagio? Partecipare al famosissimo rito del caffè purificatore.
per questo rito viene scelta una "vergine" tra gli ospiti per assaggiare il caffè, e ovviamente l'ultima volta sono stata la prescelta!
