World Powerboat Championship-Day 1

Cernobbio is again the protagonist!

 

 

It renews the appointment with the powerboat Championships.

The event, which will animate the town of Villa d'Este from today until Sunday 23 September, will compete on the water of  the Lake international teams as Team Dubai Victory, Team Abu Dhabi, LFFendi10, D'alessio Scam, Dac Racing, Welmax Offshore Racing, Zabo Racing and Spirit of Qatar.

Raimondi Restaurant@ Hotel Villa Flori

Yesterday I had a romantic dinner at Raimondi rstaurant, a sumptuous and charming place on shore mid-way between como and cernobbio. This restaurant is located inside the 4 star luxury Hotel Villa Flori, one of the most famous and ancient villas on Lake Como transformed later in hotel.The atmosphere in the outdoor garden is fantastic and romantic thnks to the many candles placed everywhere.

Asking the chef  for a light dinner, we opted for an entry of crudités followed by a selection of seafood to carpaccio and a seabream baked at salt. Everithing accompained with a bottle of Blange. Fantastic!

 My blog break period was due to a short escape for the summer holidays(BEFORE IMMERGING MYSELF AGAIN IN THE UNIVERSITY LIFE) and would love to apologize with you by posting pics of the beautiful places that I visited.
This summer the tour was European: Madrid, Saint-Tropez, Paris, Quimper, Monte Carlo and finally Greece. All fanatstic places for the people and their peculiarities in terms of glam lifestyle. Wish you were there!

Proposte fair in Cernobbio Fiera Proposte a Cernobbio

These days Cernobbio is the  animated location of Proposte Fair, a rinomated international fair for promotion and sale of fabrics and curtains that recur every year since 1993.

From 8 to 10 may will be possible and fun wandering through the streets in Cernobbio and get involved by the charm of oraginal and precious fabrics Made in Europe;a saved date on Lake Como occasion to advertise and compare different brands.

The event, which has bring in town industry experts, including manufacturers, wholesalers, distribution chains and converters, is also open to the public.

Creativity in these occasions is always the host; from the choice of location (courtyards of palaces, private residences and restaurants) to the history of the creation of some of these precious fabrics (I met with producers who have entrusted the study of prints to young creatives graduates at the University of Ulster in Belfast).

Questi giorni Cernobbio è l'animata location di Proposte, nota fiera internazionale di promozione e vendita di tessuti e tendaggi che ricorre ogni anno dal 1993.
Dall'8 al 10 maggio sarà possibile girare per le strade di Cernobbio e farsi coinvolgere dal fascino di tessuti oraginali e preziosi del Made in Europe, incontratesi sul Lago di Como per pubblicizzarsi e confrontarsi.
L'evento, che ha portato nella cittadina esperti del settore tra cui produttori di tessuti, grossisti, catene di distribuzioni e converter, è anche aperta al pubblico.
La creatività in queste occasioni fa sempre da padrona, dalla scelta delle location (cortili di antichi palazzi, dimore private e ristoranti) alla storia della creazione di alcuni di questi pregiati tessuti (ho incontrato produttori che hanno affidato lo studio delle stampe a giovani creativi neolaureati presso l'università Ulster a Belfast).
