Raimondi Restaurant@ Hotel Villa Flori

Yesterday I had a romantic dinner at Raimondi rstaurant, a sumptuous and charming place on shore mid-way between como and cernobbio. This restaurant is located inside the 4 star luxury Hotel Villa Flori, one of the most famous and ancient villas on Lake Como transformed later in hotel.The atmosphere in the outdoor garden is fantastic and romantic thnks to the many candles placed everywhere.

Asking the chef  for a light dinner, we opted for an entry of crudités followed by a selection of seafood to carpaccio and a seabream baked at salt. Everithing accompained with a bottle of Blange. Fantastic!

Sending out postcards

My hobby for this summer is about sending
postcards. But not those 90's look-alike pieces of paper!
I found an Apple application that is super funny.Is called Zoot Card and is free download.
Basically what I do is shooting
a photo with the iPad, customize it with their special features and then enter a
real addresses (not email addresses). It's hilarious!
Now my friends do not tolerate me anymore because they
receive printed postcards of all the pictures that I take with my ipad.

The funniest thing is that in addition to the message on the back of your postcard you can put your
signature personally wrote touching the screen.

 You should definitely try it out and if

Charity Dance Una danza per beneficenza

"Night of the dancing myths" is the title of the show devoted to oriental dances presented by Semarah Dance and his Muse and by associazione culturale Estense Art Atelier in Cernobbio.

Queens, fairy-tale characters, warriors, goddesses, goblins, water lilies and girls struggling with first love will be the protagonists of this fascinating blend of dance and acting, between magical intrigue and belly dancing.

Guest stars of the evening will be Irene Valota, musical actress and dancer,Lorenzo Iudici, percussionist and Martin Dance.

The show, which will take place on June 10 at the Chiasso theatre, is a charity project to support the Association Friends of Stay Dogs, whose goal is the improvement of the living conditions of dogs at the Como's kennel.

"La notte dei miti danzanti" è il titolo dello spettacolo dedicato alle danze orientali presentato da Semarah Dance e le sue Muse e dall'associazione culturale Estense Arte Atelier di Cernobbio.

There are many beatiful places but only a few are able to remain impressed!
Today I'm giving you Gatto Nero, not to mention a worldwide restaurant famous mostly as George Cooney's spot on Lake Como. What makes this place special?Set on Cernobbio hills, its warm atmosphere is given from thousands of little rare objects perfectly combined in every single room of the restaurant.
Originally a modest mountain refuge, is today the most popular restaurant on the lake: the place to go!
Every VIP travelling to Lake Como had stepped into this place, where all of them are remembered in pictures and stories!

Brueghel dynasty on Lake Como La dinastia Brueghel sul Lago di Como

Currently on view at Villa Olmo the works and history of the most important dynasty of Flemish artists active in the 16th and 17th centuries: the BRUEGHEL DYNASTY. The exhibition, curated by Sergio Gaddi and Doron J. Lurie, will introduce us, through one hundred exhibits, to two centuries of history, starting from the most important exponent of the family, Pieter Brueghel the Elder.

Seventy paintings and other works, including thirty etchings and drawings can be seen in Como from 24 March to July 29, 2012.

This review of international importance, after opening in the fabulous setting of Villa Olmo, will continue with the exhibition of works in Tel Aviv, Prague, Miami and St. Petersburg

 

 

In questi giorni sono in mostra a Villa Olmo le opere e la storia della più importante dinastia di artisti fiamminghi operanti tra il XVI ed il XVII secolo.LA DINASTIA BRUEGHEL.

La rassegna, a cura di Sergio Gaddi e Doron J. Lurie, ripercorrerà, attraverso le cento opere esposte, due secoli di storia, partendo dalla figura più importante della dinastia, Pieter Brueghel il Vecchio.

Settanta dipinti e trenta tra stampe e disegni, potranno essere ammirati dal 24 marzo al 29 luglio 2012.

La rassegna di importanza internazionale, dopo l'apertura nella fantastica cornice di villa olmo, continuerà esponendo le opere a Tel Aviv, Praga, Miami e San Pietroburgo.

Adoro Victoria's Secret...chi non lo fa? E' IL brand sinonimo di sex appeal ed eleganza allo stesso tempo. E' possibile avere un po' di quel glamour acquistando i capi di lingerie online, in quanto esistono nella collezione capi dalle linee elaborate, ma anche un "prét-a-porter" un pochino più semplice e facile da indossare.
